Is Seattle killing big biz?

To start "The Wealth Walk," an interactive theater performance and history tour, I met creator Ryan Guzzo Purcell in Mount Baker Park, by the tennis courts full of pickleball players, in Seattle. Purcell began by handing me a dollar bill.

Both parties are rushing to gerrymander their Congressional districts as fast as they can. Nobody thinks this is good for Democracy. Is there a better way?

Seattle sports enthusiasm has maybe never been more obvious than this year. The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl, the World Cup is he, and the SuperSonics feel closer than ever to potentially returning. None of that is due to Mayor Katie Wilson, but will she benefit from it?

Across the country, progressive Democrats are ousting establishment candidates who have, in some cases, been in office for decades. Could we see the same dynamic play out here in Washington? Or are establishment democrats here too progressive to be challenged to the left?

Democrats are gearing up to defend a 9.9% tax on every dollar a household makes over $1 million earlier this year. A conservative effort to repeal the tax would put the choice to voters in November.
