Rush opened tonight's Juno Awards, the annual ceremony celebrating Canadian music. The reunion of Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson was not announced in advance, but was teased in the band's newsletter earlier this week (fans were told to tune in for a “special moment"). It marked the beloved prog band's first public performance with a new live drummer.

This weekend marked the 2026 Junos, the annual awards presented by the Canadian Academy Of Recording Arts And Sciences. Tonight Saskatoon's own Joni Mitchell was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Juno, along with a tribute performance from fellow Canadian singer-songwriters Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell.

Tonight was Jack Black's fifth time hosting Saturday Night Live and Jack White's sixth time performing, including once with the White Stripes (he also played SNL50: The Anniversary Special last year). The duo known as Jack Gray made the most of the clever booking by appearing in a couple of sketches together.

The Avalanches' new album launch is underway. Last fall, the Australian electronic duo teased LP4 on Instagram with a photo of a pile of LaCie Rugged drives. Recently they wiped their Instagram and unveiled a new logo (that may to take inspiration from Tasuro Yamashita's 1983 album Melodies ). And, over the past few days, the Avalanches rolled out an RPG of sorts to kick off their new era.

All Things Go DC returns to Merriweather Post Pavillion this September for its 12th year. Last week it was announced that Hayley Williams ("the Hayley Williams Show") and Mitski would headline the three-day festival, and today the full lineup has been revealed, with notable inclusions like Ethel Cain, Zara Larsson, and Slayyyter.

The Rolling Stones officially announced their new album Foreign Tongues and shared its lead single "In The Stars" today. A few hours later, they were onstage with Conan O'Brien at an album launch event inside the Williamsburgh Savings Bank building in Brooklyn.
