CENTRE – First-year Cherokee County High School football head coach Bayley Blanchard said he was driving to Warrior Stadium early Thursday morning getting fired up for the day.

CENTRE – Cherokee County High School coach Josh Decker said he “feels real good” when he hears Nate Black's name called during lineup introductions, then sees him jog out to center field during Warrior baseball games.

Centre Middle School seventh grade softball pitcher Addie Sherrod recently tried out and was selected to play in the USSSA All-American games at the Space Coast Complex in Viera, Florida. She will be representing Centre and the entire Southeast. Sherrod's team starts bracket play on Friday.

VIERA, Fla. – Centre Middle School seventh grade softball pitcher Addie Sherrod's 12-and-under softball team went undefeated and won the USSSA All-American games at the Space Coast Complex in Viera, Florida over the weekend.

CEDAR BLUFF – When he was a high school football player at Gaylesville, Cole Murphy was known for his toughness. Now as a first-year head coach at Cedar Bluff, Murphy's mission is to reinvigorate the Tigers' toughness.
