Eli Morton became the eighth member of Sardis High School’s class of 2024 to receive an opportunity to compete in college athletics on March 7 when he accepted a preferred walk-on offer to play football for Auburn University.

Boaz’s Sydney Noles, the daughter of Jason and Rachel Noles, signed to play softball for Berry College last November. The scholarship is just one of the highlights of a special senior year for Noles. She was crowned BHS homecoming queen in October. In January, she made the All-Marshall County Basketball Tournament Team. In February, Noles helped Boaz’s girls basketball team win its first Class 5A, Area 13 Tournament championship since 2021. Noles was named to the All-Area 13 Tournament Team.
