Timothy Carney of Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble shares his knowledge and love for Brittenʻs "A Ceremony of Carols" and Finziʻs "In terra pax". The Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble presents their annual Christmas Concert on December 9 & 10 - a musical celebration of peace and goodwill to all, "Peace on Earth."

Noah Mirkay is a junior at University Laboratory School in Honolulu. On Noahʻs takeover, he told us about his full life with his schoolʻs Piano Club, Speech Team, Volleyball, playing viola in the school orchestra, piano lessons, his golf ball business and more!

Violist Keon Sagara is a graduate of Punahou School and visits Classical Pacific while on Winter Break after his first semester at Eastman School of Music. Keon shares valuable advice with students looking to apply and audition to music schools and programs.

Itʻs always a delight to spend time with French Horn player Anna Lenhart of Honolulu Brass Quintet. Chamber Music Hawaii presents two different programs this week with Honolulu Brass Quintet- "Carnevale at Blue Note" and "From Bach to Pop" at St. John Lutheran Church, Kailua. Hear Anna Lenhart talk about these two concerts and her start in music.

Musician sisters Evie Tjoeng (cello) and Ellie Tjoeng (violin) both play in Hawaii Youth Symphony's Concert Orchestra. Evie and Ellie brought in their favorite pieces to share along with great advice and stories of how they started in music.

Mililani High School senior Belise Swartwood is a violinist, a swimmer, and will be attending M.I.T. in the Fall. She studies the violin with Wu Hung, and was the concert master in Hawaii Youth Symphonyʻs YSI last semester. Swartwood brought in some of her favorite pieces and explained how she balances all of her activites,

Ye Stanton is a pianist and a piano teacher at Manoa School of Music & The Arts. Stanton is getting her PhD in ethnomusicology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She shares her experiences as a classically trained musician and as a member of the gamelan ensemble at UH.
