This year, the College of the Muscogee Nation held its 17th commencement at the Mvskoke Dome on May 1st. They had many students graduating with their Associates and Certificates.

This Mvskoke Language Liaison Program has created the Mvskoke Opunvkv Mentor-Apprentice program to help keep the Mvskoke language alive and attract more language speakers to the Nation. The apprentices will be employed full-time while they learn the Mvskoke language.

The Muscogee (Creek) National Council Land, Natural Resources, and Cultural Preservation Committee held a meeting on May 7, passing legislation to purchase land, allocate grant funds, and appropriate funds for Ceremonial Grounds and Churches.

Georgia Harjo (Mvskoke) has recently won the University of Oklahoma (OU) Indigenous Royalty crown. She spoke to Mvskoke Media about her experience running for this pageant, what she plans to do with her platform, and her hopes to inspire other youth.

The MCN Center for Victim Services hosted its annual Honor Walk for the Murdered and Missing Indigenous People awareness event on May 5. MCN CVS Outreach Coordinator spoke with Mvskoke Media about the purpose of the event, the services MCN CVS offers to the public, and how one of their billboard campaigns helped lead to the resolution of a case.

Rez Taxi is run by a Native business owner, this business is operated through Monday-Sunday however hours vary. Fee’s vary as well within Okmulgee reservation it’s $5 one way but outside it’s $1.75. Owner Austin Domebo wanted to give back to his community and the reservation.

April Rinner (Mvskoke) recently gained her doctoral degree from Oklahoma City University. Rinner spoke with Mvskoke Media about achieving this milestone, the support she received from the Muscogee (Creek) Nation along her educational journey, and her commitment to raising awareness about opioid education in Native communities. Her work highlights the importance of education, advocacy, and community health.

The Mvskoke Language Program has offered online language classes year-round, welcoming learners of all skill levels. These classes provide participants with opportunities to learn and practice the Mvskoke language. The annual Senior Games were held at the Mvskoke Dome on May 21. Elders enjoyed playing in various contests or simply watching the games with their friends. These activities can help with the elder's physical health and mental well-being. The MCN Health Promotion and Wellness Director and two elders discussed this year’s event.
