This year’s Scholarship pageant was held at the Tulsa River Spirit Casino, where each contestant competed for Miss and Jr. Miss MCN. Many families, friends, MCN representatives, and various royalty from Oklahoma Tribes and Native organizations attended to show support for the contestants.

The 2026 Indian Oklahoma Miss, Janaya McIntosh, and Jr. Miss, Olivia Beaver, are once again sharing the reign together. The duo previously served as the 2023–2024 MCN Miss and Junior Miss royalty, making this a special full-circle moment. Both have spoken about their platforms, their experiences, and what this opportunity means to them as they represent their communities with pride and dedication.
MCN will be hosting its annual festival this year, and many citizens may become overheated. The MCN Department of Public Safety Commissioner has provided information on signs of heat-related illness, dehydration, and their protocols so all visitors can be safe.

The MCN Culture and Humanities Department held its annual Honor Walk this year at its department location at the Cultural Cuko on June 24. They hold this honor walk annually to raise awareness of sacred sites, but also to bring attention to the Justice for Hickory Ground Movement.
MCN Elder Services hosted its annual Elder Gathering on Jun 19. This year, almost 200 Mvskoke elders attended. Everyone enjoyed competing in different activities and coming together again. Brenda Coon (Mvskoke) spoke to Mvskoke Media about her experience at this year’s gathering.

CMN Indigenous Media Club held an art market on campus on June 5. Vendors offered a variety of crafts and items for sale to the community. IMC spoke to Mvskoke Media about this year's event, what they enjoyed most about it, and their hope to turn it into an annual event.
The annual 5k and Fun Run happened on June 27; 438 participants took part, many from different tribes and some from out of state. MCN 5k Coordinator Kathryn Sunny (Mvskoke) expressed her gratitude for coordinating and named this year’s winners in both the male and female categories.
There are many Indigenous photographic art in this world, but each photographer has different approaches when capturing these moments. For owner Victoria Tiger (Mvskoke/Euchee) she has spoken to Mvskoke Media about her passion for photography and her vision about capturing her tribe and incorporating her ceremonial ground culture in these different sessions.
