We could get some severe weather later this afternoon into this evening. WCCO-TV Chief Meteorologist Chris Shaffer says the Twin Cities is on the northern part of an enhanced threat of dangerous storms that could include large hail, high winds, and perhaps tornadoes.

They're cleaning up south of the Twin Cities, and in numerous spots across the Upper Midwest after heavy storms and at least a couple of tornadoes tore through communities. Three tornadoes touched down in southern Minnesota, where some damage to farms was reported.

The "Curse of Mamdani"? The Twins beat the Mets Tuesday night, and now that city's mayor getting flack for his team's losing streak which reached 12 games. Fans in Queens say the bad luck began when New York Mayor Zoran Mamdani met the Mets mascot and posed for a picture. ​"I will accept being addressed as Mayor Bambino," Mamdani said.

Federal agents again swarmed sections of the Twin Cities Tuesday morning, exercising search warrants at several childcare centers for what the Department of Justice called an "ongoing fraud investigation."

Reconstruction of George Floyd Square begins Monday at 38th and Chicago in south Minneapolis, not long after the sixth anniversary of his murder. The long-debated $15 million project will remake the intersection, including to allow buses and emergency vehicles to once again travel through it.

Three men injured, one of them critically, after a shooting overnight in northeast Minneapolis. Police say it happened around 12:30 a.m. near Hennepin and University Avenues. Witnesses say they heard several rounds of gunfire and saw people running from the area.
