Joliet Catholic pitcher Jake Gimbel led the Hilltoppers to a 10-1 victory over Providence in the WJOL/Don Ladas Tournament semifinal round on Thursday.
Connor Essenburg was working fast for Lincoln-Way West on Thursday afternoon. And when Essenburg finds that kind of groove, opponents are likely in for a long day as he struck out 13 to key the Warriors 7-1 victory over visiting Lincoln-Way East.
