A stretch of dangerous and record-breaking heat will spread across the northern and central U.S. this week, with Michigan seeing the beginning of a major heat risk on Monday.

DETROIT - Southeast Michigan is going to feel this week's heaty wave start building today, with daytime high temperatures reaching into the 90s on Monday and lasting through Wednesday.

Temperatures in some areas could feel like 110 degrees today.
