(Massapequa Park, NY) — There will be lots of tears on Long Island Thursday and Friday as the first wake for NYPD cop Jonathan Diller takes place. The 31-year-old was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Far Rockaway Queens on Monday evening. On Wednesday night, Diller’s neighbors in Massapequa Park showed up in mass at a vigil to honor his life. There was a second vigil near the crime scene in Queens. Diller was on the force for three years. He leaves behind a wife and an almost 1-year-old son. A GoFundMe page for the officer’s family has already raised more than $350,000.
