The three largest U.S. mobile carriers said Thursday they’re forming a joint venture that will work together to bring direct-to-device service to customers in remote areas and help eliminate dead spots in coverage.AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile said they have an “agreement in principle” to pool mobile spectrum and “help satellite providers reach more customers through a unified platform.”
