BEAUFORT — Construction remains on schedule for Beaufort’s Live Oak Street/NC 101 Roundabout Project, with crews anticipated to begin installing subdrain systems, followed by asphalt base layers this week. Curb and gutter work is expected to begin during the week after the Fourth of July holiday.

CARTERET COUNTY — The candidate filing period for Carteret County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor will end at 5 p.m. on July 6. Interested individuals must file their notice of candidacy with the Carteret County Board of Elections at 1702 Live Oak St., Suite 200, in Beaufort.
