(NISKAYUNA, NY) -- The Town of Niskayuna is releasing results of years-long testing that shows high levels of copper in town water, leading to rapid corrosion of copper pipes. That comes after years of complaints from neighbors of greenish stains on sinks and clothes, and unexpected wear and tear on home appliances.
(NISKAYUNA, NY) -- You can't see it in the water, but it's there: high levels of copper. A study conducted by the town of Niskayuna discovered the high levels and has recommendations for fixing the problem. One town councilman said the town is ready to move forward with those recommendations.
(NISKAYUNA, NY) The USEPA is now examining the situation with high levels of copper in the water in one Capital Region town. An EPA spokesperson confirmed the agency began an inquiry after a complaint from “a concerned citizen” back in February. Earlier this week, the town of Nikayuna released a study on the town's water system which revealed higher than normal levels of copper.
