41-year-old Brandi Leann Tyrrell has been charged with two felony counts of first-degree cruelty to a cat and six counts of animal cruelty.

DOTHAN, Ala. ( WTVY /Gray News) – An Alabama woman is wanted by police on felony animal cruelty charges after authorities discovered several dead cats and abandoned live animals inside her Dothan grooming business.

An Alabama woman was taken into custody late Monday in connection to several animal cruelty charges.

The mortuary pair plans to send the completed registers to Parton's family, “as a lasting collection of love, memories, and condolences from those whose lives she touched.”

As authorities worked to link Johnson to this theft, they were able to uncover what was described as a sophisticated ring of crimes targeting mortuaries in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, among other states.
