Vivian and Tina at Vivan's farm. It was a remarkable week of seeing special people.

It's been great to be in the paradise of Palm Beach . I love to call it my “pretty place” because the scenery is pretty, the people are pretty and the weather is pretty, and I feel blessed to have been here, but the greatness of Palm Beach is always the people who are living there.

With the world upside down, ironically it's also a uniting time of togetherness for family and friends. It's the overlapping of Catholic Greek Orthodox , J ewish and Muslim holidays, and I felt a uniting theme: caring about each other and being grateful for what we have.

The astronauts returned home safely. I was in awe as I watched the NASA team bring the four astronauts home in a perfect landing into the Pacific Ocean's choppy waters off the San Diego coast.

President Dr. Timothy E. Sams and student Eniola Mayowa presented me with my award. Being back in New York is being back with two feet planted in my world of business, family and friends.

Not only did my grandson get married, but old friend Serf Maltese held a ceremony presenting his beloved Constance's portraits and, to top off the week, Schneps Media was recognized as the No. 1 media company in New York State

It was a great week! Remarkably, three friends had birthdays this past week, the legendary landmark Citarella gourmet market opened, I attended a unique

From the Met Gala , to ringing the bell at Nasdaq , to the Central Park Conservancy luncheon, to our Power List event at Bryant Park Grill , it was a unique week.

My dad was the youngest of his closest cousins growing up together — same as I did — who were both best friends and relatives. His favorite cousin from his childhood to the day he died at 86 was his beloved Arthur Kornberg , his adored mother's brother's son!

It was a week filled with special occasions.
