The fire quickly spread with the wind pushing the embers into a second junkyard and additional businesses in the area--many are deemed a total loss. No word yet on cause, luckily no injuries are reported. A mostly contained 24 four-acre brush fire continues smoldering near Miami Executive Airport.

Attorney General James Uthemier says law enforcement will be working 'round the clock to ensure safety. Anyone nabbed will be prosecuted to the fullest. Uber drivers are also being told to be an extra set of eyes and ears for police. Awareness is key when it comes to nabbing human traffickers since most hide in plain sight.

The property tax cut plan going on the ballot in November is under the microscope a day after it was approved by state lawmakers. Former State Senator Jeffrey Brandes [[bran-diss]] says an exemption was made for public school revenue, but other government entities may suffer. The proposal would need at least 60-percent of the vote. If it passes, it would up the homestead exemption to 150-thousand-dollars in 2027, and 250 thousand in 2028.
