The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) was created by euro area countries in 2012. Its mission is to help these countries prevent and overcome financial crises, which supports long-term financial stability and prosperity. Its values are “Strengthening Europe”, “Teaming up for Excellence”, and “Acting with Integrity”. It is located in Kirchberg, near the LuxExpo exhibition centre.
