Arches National Park recorded 180,978 recreation visits in April, marking its busiest April since 2021 during the first peak visitation season in several years without timed-entry reservations. The total was up about 11.7% from last April, according to National Park Service data. The work is part of the third phase of a project that began in 2024 to reconfigure the Grand View Point parking lot and improve safety at one of the park’s busiest overlooks.

Original Meat, Tenderloins, Broken Tooth, Sacred Cow and Critic’s Choice are no longer considered active raptor nesting areas and are now open to recreation for the remainder of the year.

The new location replaced the center’s long-term shared location and provides dedicated space with improved privacy, comfort and trauma-informed services for children and families.
