I heard a song on the radio the other day that sent me straight back to my teenage years.

Close friends lost a loved one last week, bringing back memories of the deaths of my own loved ones. As I shared with my friends, it saddens me that they are no longer with us, but it comforts me to know that they are no longer suffering and their absence is only temporary and when they wake up again, they’ll no longer be in pain. I have complete faith that Jehovah will remember them and bring them back (Acts 24:15).

Joseph Salazar and Tyler Swartzendruber won the Desert Hills Men’s Association May tournament with an even par 72. Tony Steen and Gabe Plaza tied Isaac Rios and Dane Bingham for second at 73. Jose Campos and Michael Campos won the net side with a 63. Felipe Aragon Jr. and Tony Zendejas were second net winning a 3-way scorecard playoff.

The following fugitives who previously appeared in the Yuma County’s Most Wanted column in the Yuma Sun have been arrested and are back in local custody:

During the Crane governing board meeting on May 14, Vianney Mendoza, director of school nutrition, discussed the Summer Food Service Program, which runs from June 3 to July 19.

As a public service, the Yuma Sun is publishing the names and photographs of the following people sought by the Yuma County Adult Probation Department or the U.S. Marshals Service as probation absconders. If you have information that would lead to the arrest of any of them, call surveillance officer Francisco Esquivel at (928) 373-1690. If you know any of their immediate locations, call local law enforcement agencies or dial 911. Do not to detain them yourself.
