With nearly 30 years of experience in various roles including reporter, producer, and news director, he specializes in broadcast journalism and multimedia storytelling, having authored the widely adopted textbook 'Aim for the Heart.' Tompkins has been featured in Poynter Online, Editor & Publisher (E&P) Magazine, Inlander, and the Tampa Bay Times.
