The North Alabama Agriplex hosted the nonprofit’s annual Harvest to Home Dinner Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Dr. William F. Peinhardt Conference Center on the campus of Wallace State Community College. The dinner was planned and prepared by Wallace State Culinary Arts program chair Aaron Nichols with assistance from Culinary Pride students. All proceeds from the event will go toward Agriplex projects — including the ongoing capital campaign to fund the new construction of the Agriplex’s forthcoming new Community Hub building.

Cullman's annual Oktoberfest celebration kicked off Thursday evening. 2024 Burgermeister Amy McAfee Wood opened the event by tapping the keg using a mallet crafted by her father, the late Danny McAfee. Cold Springs Avery Gerstman was named the 2024 Miss Cullman County Fair Tuesday night. Other winners include Hanceville's Josie Radcliff, 2nd runner up; Fairview's Cassie Jo Davis, talent winner and 1st runner up; and Cullman Christian School's Evelyn Griffin, Miss Congeniality.

The 2024 Cullman County Fair wraps up Saturday, Oct. 12 after more than a week of rides, food, prizes, exhibits, shows and pageants.

Honorary “witches” across Cullman County took over the city of Cullman’s Warehouse District for the annual Witches Ride fundraiser Sunday, Oct. 20. Since it began in 2022, the ride has become the largest annual fundraiser for Les Dames, a local 501©3 nonprofit organization, with the express goal of making feminine sanitary products free and available to all female students in Cullman County. Hundreds attended the annual event.

West Elementary 5th graders performed their annual Veterans Day program saluting veterans and their families. Army National Guard, Field Artillery, SGT Keenan Hollingsworth, a teacher at West Elementary, directed the performance.
