ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — One person was killed and three were injured by a landslide that prompted a mandatory evacuation in the Alaska city of Ketchikan, authorities said.

Leah Canfield, who lives on the south side of Second Avenue, told the Daily News on Monday that she was resting in her home on Sunday when she heard the landslide "roaring like a thunderstorm" and felt her house shake from the impact of the debris cascading down the steep slope above.
