LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Little League 12-year-old all-stars last captured a District 16 championship back in 2009, but it appears this year's team might be on the verge of putting an end to 17 years of disappointment and heartache.
The team finished 18-3, won the Cape Ann League Kinney Division championship for the second consecutive year, and reached the Elite 8 of the Division 3 state tournament.
