LYNN — In August, 2017, KIPP Academy was preparing for its debut football season. The Panthers chose Jim Rabbitt to build the program and lead young student-athletes on and off the field.

LYNN — It was only Liz D'Amico's second season in charge of Lynn English's boys volleyball program, but history was served up as the Bulldogs secured their first-ever postseason berth.

The rising senior finished the spring with a school-record 143 goals, surpassing every goal scorer who came before her and adding another milestone to an already remarkable career.

The Lynnfield 11U team took care of business against Peabody West on Monday evening, earning an 8-2 victory at Ross Park.

The game between Peabody West and Lynnfield was tied at two heading into the top of the sixth inning. Peabody West's Jake Gallagher grounded out in the inning, scoring two runs to give his team the lead and eventual win.

LYNN — Five local baseball players are suiting up for the North Shore Navigators and making an impact. The Navigators are currently 12-13 and have won six of their last 10.

LYNN — Some high school athletes have dreams of playing college football, while others try to use what they learn from the sport to set themselves up for the future. Lynn English's Isaiah Goorahlal and Ghafour Diallo have done just that.

SWAMPSCOTT — One night after putting up 14 runs against West Lynn, Peabody West's 12-year-old All-Stars stole the show again. Their offense continued to surge, plating 12 runs against Winthrop in a 12-2 win at Swampscott Middle School.
