Fraud groups take billions of dollars a year out of the music industry through fake streams, a streaming technology company has warned.

Fraud groups have been raking in royalty payments after uploading millions of songs to streaming services while pretending to be the artists responsible. It is estimated that at least 10% of all tunes streamed globally are fraudulent.
