The independent candidate Călin Georgescu obtained 22.38% of the votes in the first round of the presidential elections, according to data published in real time on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority, after the centralization of 97.60% of the minutes of the polls in the country and abroad. Marcel Ciolacu, the PSD candidate, is in second position with 19.83% of the votes cast in the first round, while Elena Lasconi, the USR candidate, is in third position with 18.55%. George Simion (AUR) – 14.02%, Nicolae Ciucă (PNL) – 8.98%, Mircea Geoană (independent) – 6.28%.
