The Fairfield/Choteau High School cross-country teams competed at the Capital City 7 of 7 meet in Helena on Oct. 10. Wyatt Yeager led the boys, finishing in 20th place in
Choteau senior Wyatt Yeager and Fairfield sophomore Ashyr Tweet placed in the top 10 out of 45 runners at the Rusty Raisland Memorial cross-country meet in Townsend on Oct. 17.
Dutton-Brady Public Schools homecoming week is Oct. 21-24. The school also has a unique dress-up day for each day of the week. Monday is “barbecue dad or soccer mom” day and Tuesday is “cutoff jeans” day. Wednesday is “western day,” where students dress up as cowboys or cowgirls. Thursday is “school spirit” day, where the students dress in their DiamondBacks and Titans apparel, and Friday is “favorite jersey” day.
The Power school board discussed adopting a concealed carry policy for staff members at the Oct. 14 meeting. The board members looked at a policy from Vaughn Elementary School. The policy outlined the definition of a weapon and the Montana code on concealed carry policies in schools.

Dutton/Brady High School held its homecoming festivities on Oct. 21-25. The week was filled with dress-up days, hall decorating, football and volleyball games and lots of school spirit.
The Power/Dutton-Brady combined high school football and volleyball teams competed in their postseason events last weekend. The Titans football team traveled to Bridger for a first-round playoff game on Nov. 2 and the volleyball team competed at the District 6B tournament in Cascade on Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
Fairfield was crowned the District 1B champions at the tournament Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Choteau. The Lady Eagles also finished in first place in regular season play.
The Fairfield High School volleyball team won the Northern B Divisional Tournament in Shelby Nov. 7-9. The Eagles defeated Chinook in three sets to claim the divisional title.
