PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Temperatures will trend a bit cooler today and for Friday following a cold front passing through Central Illinois early this morning. A few slick spots will be possible as a result of the snow yesterday evening into early this morning. Highs will trend in the upper teens to lower 20’s today as clouds quickly clear out this morning. Clear skies continue into tonight which will allow for temperatures to drop into the single digits which will be the coldest we look to get for the next week to week and a half. Expect highs in the mid 20’s for Friday before we see highs near 40 Saturday. Another cold front drops our temperatures back near freezing for Sunday before we enjoy several days with highs in the 40’s through next week starting on Monday.
