PEORIA (25News Now) - A cold front will move through Central Illinois tonight, bringing the chance for showers and storms as it passes through. The line of storms should begin to weaken as it moves into Central Illinois, meaning that there is a chance that some will miss out on some beneficial rain or see very little of it. Not every storm will be strong or severe, but some storms still may be strong or severe at times capable of winds up to 60 mph, 1″ diameter hail and heavy rain. We’re keeping a close eye on the rainfall potential tonight because some models are advertising localized areas seeing upward of 2-3″ of rain. Again, not everyone will see that much rain, but if that happens we may see areas of flooding and flash flooding.
