FAIRFIELD COUNTY — The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify a person of interest following a shooting on Interstate 77 over the weekend.

WINNSBORO – After almost 200 years, the doors of the Oak Grove Methodist Church on Cedar Creek Road will close on Sunday with a special 11 a.m. worship service. The community is invited.

That day, a crowd of at least 1,000 people joined the state leader of the African Methodist Episcopal Church to open the Vision Center, a rural retreat north of Winnsboro.

After outscoring their first two opponents by a combined of 40-5 margin, Blythewood sits at a perfect 2-0 in the Diamond Youth Baseball district tournament in Gaston.

WINNSBORO – Fairfield County Veterans Affairs Director Albertha Woodard hosted the inaugural Fairfield County Women Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, June 12, with a cookout at the Fairfield County Veterans Affairs Office in Winnsboro.

WINNSBORO – Following the Juneteenth parade in downtown Winnsboro, the celebration moved to the former Fairfield School, where a large crowd enjoyed live music, lots of food, speeches, and dancing. This year's theme was Remembering Where It All Started.
