Chilly high pressure will slide toward the Southeast coast, resulting in moderating temperatures and sunshine, with a southwest breeze. Temperatures have climbed into the low 50s. Clouds will begin to overspread Ohio this evening.

Low pressure tracking across the northern Great Lakes will keep the region in a mild, moist southwesterly flow. Spotty drizzle will linger. Temperatures will hold nearly steady in the low to mid-50s.

A cold front will slowly cross the state, accompanied by showers, with a wave of low pressure moving north along the boundary. Temperatures will remain on the mild side, holding near 50 degrees.

A band of light snow developed behind a cold front pushing east across the Appalachians. Temperatures will hold steady, just above freezing, so light snow will melt on road surfaces.

The annual Geminid meteor shower peaks Friday night Dec. 13-14, although central Ohio will see an increase in high clouds and a nearly full moon will hinder the view.
