After winning their first two games on the road the offense continued a hot start and some more strong goaltending gave the Irish a convincing 4-1 victory. They’ve now improved to 3-0 to start the young season and will be going for the sweep on Saturday.

The Irish head to Ann Arbor on their first conference road trip

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team traveled to Ann Arbor for only their second road trip of the season so far and their first in conference play. Coming off several series splits at home Notre Dame played the first of two games against the #7 ranked Michigan Wolverines on Friday. The Irish defense played the Wolverines tough, but the offense was only able to find a single goal and Michigan hung around enough to take the win in overtime.

For the second straight week, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team is on the road in the state of Michigan. A week ago they lost both games to the Michigan Wolverines. This time around they will be taking on the Michigan State Spartans and looking for a better result.
