The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team is drawing close to the end of the regular season with their final two home games of the season this weekend. As they honor the seniors on the team Notre Dame will be wearing green jerseys and playing the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Notre Dame is playing for tournament seeding, with their final four games going a long way to determining their chances.

Notre Dame currently sits outside of qualification for the NCAA tournament, so they’ll most likely need the automatic bid from the Big Ten tournament to make it. This weekend is all about seeding, as the Irish currently are just above the Wolverines in the conference standings.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team is on the road this weekend, travelling to North Carolina for a conference matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Irish are coming off a midweek win against Butler and have had success in single games when they can get them in, but the weekend series have hurt and they’ll be looking to go into Chapel Hill and come away with some wins.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team returns to the ice this weekend to open the 2024-25 season, the last for Head Coach Jeff Jackson. After an exhibition win against the United States National Team Development Program a week ago, the Irish begin their season on the road in New York for a game each against the St. Lawrence Saints and Clarkson Golden Knights. Notre Dame enters this season looking to return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 2022 and to send Jeff Jackson out on top.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team opened the season Friday night against the St. Lawrence Saints with a strong showing from both returning and new members. The Irish offense was sluggish to start but came away with four goals on the day. Meanwhile new netminder Owen Say allowed just one goal in his first start for the Irish.
