At the Mellatracks location, a 600m by 40m “snow flat”, a 200m-diameter “snow and ice circle”, and a 1,750m “snow handling track” have been added. On the 600-metre flat, UTAC can take “precise” assessments of tyres, brakes, and traction systems. On the circle, it can assess handling, steering, and transmission performance. Finally, on the 1,750-metre long track, more detailed evaluations of tyre performance and vehicle dynamics can be made.
