High pressure will be building in this week. That means warmer temperatures, but also the return of valley fog and worsening air quality.

High pressure building in will bring in poor air quality, higher fog chances, and higher temperatures, too.

Temperatures will rise as we close out the work week, and we're keeping an eye on a storm system for next week.

Our weather remains fairly uneventful this weekend, but we've got a decent chance for rain on Christmas Eve.

Rain is on the way just in time for Christmas Eve. Fortunately Kern County will be dry by Christmas Day.

Very light rain is moving through the Central Valley Thursday night. A few raindrops are likely in Kern early Friday.

Expect slightly above average temperatures and some clouds in the sky this weekend, but temperatures will drop toward New Year's Eve.

A ridge of high pressure is building in to start the new year. That means warmer temperatures, but also higher chances for fog.

Mountain areas were nice and sunny and warm in the early afternoon, but a blanket of fog rolled in the late afternoon, dropping both temperatures and visibility.

Once any patchy morning fog lifts, Valley highs are expected to return to the 60s both Thursday and Friday.
