After a pleasant and comfortable Thursday, today will continue that trend. Many backyards are starting in the 50s this morning thanks to good radiational cooling last night. Today will offer mostly sunny skies and slightly below-normal temperatures with low humidity again. It will be a stellar afternoon! High pressure drifts eastward tonight and that will bring a return to muggy conditions along with increasing clouds. Lows will be back in the 70s tonight.
The weekend featured hot and very humid weather each afternoon with downpours and storms developing late each day too. The storms produced some wind damage for a few locations but overall provided the region with some much-needed rain to end the month of June, which had been rather dry for most of the region. Many backyards and farms were thankful for the surge of moisture for the last week of the month. Behind the front today, the weather will do a complete 180 to start the month of July!

After two gorgeous days to start July, it will be warmer today, although the humidity stays in check for one more day. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with highs in the upper 80s.
