Huang sure delivered the sizzle, promising big things in robotics and AI. All of this was reinforced in a Yahoo Finance interview with Huang led by tech editor Dan Howley . Yet, investors left yearning for more – and Nvidia's stock notched their worst day since Sept. 3 on Jan. 7. Such is the case with Nvidia where expectations of greatness are a constant.

For Yang it boils down to any government's ability to keep up: "AI's gonna move way faster than every other previous technology. So the question is can the government keep up learning?"
