Letter to the Editor: Heather Moore has the optimistic view I want in Montpelier

I’ve been trying to sort out who to vote for in the upcoming elections. I’ve been impressed with Heather Moore running in Enosburgh and Montgomery to represent us in the State Legislature. First of all, not too many people are willing to do this job so the selection is limited. Secondly, many people who do try, see their job as being there to say NO. I personally want someone who see’s the job as saying YES, but yes with the correct outcome, ie, a thoughtful person, willing to make the hard choices on how to spend the limited money available for the common good. Heather strikes me as that kind of person. Third, I think the laws that are going to effect the generation who will have to make the transitions to the new world that climate change is bringing us, should be made by someone with fresh eyes, responsible to her generation, who is going to learn from mistakes and become a resource for our population. As a senior I look at our choices a little more carefully now days and am happy with supporting Heather Moore as our representative to the legislature.
