Clague Playhouse usually closes for the season in mid-June, but the community theater will stay open a little longer this year, announcing historical plays and programs to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding.

About a dozen Bay Village firefighters and their supporters attended the June 15 City Council meeting, where they called for more input into the design and specifications of the city’s $11.4 million fire station expansion and renovation. Construction began this spring.

Officers at 8:30 a.m. on April 28 responded to Walgreens after an employee reported that a man had run from the store with several bottles of Tide detergent without paying for the merchandise.

Officers responded at 12:51 p.m. on June 7 to Ulta Beauty Supply regarding a theft complaint.

The city has taken another step forward toward enhancing Clague Park, possibly building an amphitheater.
