Officers responded at 6:24 a.m. on June 29 to a report of a possible motor vehicle accident on Barton Road at Cinnamon Way involving an unresponsive man in a running vehicle. Officers arrived to find a running car off the right side of the road and up against a road sign.

Westlake has city codes governing residential rental properties, but it lacks language specifically addressing the short-term rental of homes. The issue came to the forefront after several Westlake residents recently complained about a late-night party at a short-term rental property. A second advertised party was canceled after city officials learned of it.
