Officers were dispatched to the area of Lake Road and Harvey Parkway for a boating accident with possible injuries on July 30. They found a man stuck on the rocks, half in and out of the water. The squad transported him to the hospital.

On July 26, police and fire departments responded to a report of a paddleboarder in distress. While on the phone with 911, the woman reported that she had made it to a rocky section of the shoreline. Members of the BVFD Westshore Water Rescue team assisted her back to land using private shoreline access from a nearby residence. She suffered minor injuries and was escorted back to her vehicle.

On Aug. 3 around 1:15 am, police responded to McDonald’s for a report of a man asleep behind the wheel. The driver was arrested and charged with drunk driving.

On Aug. 7, a resident reported losing $49,200 after her computer was compromised by someone impersonating a Microsoft technician.

A dog locked its owner out of his vehicle on Aug. 6. The driver called police but the dog was able to unlock the door.

On Aug. 8, police stopped a driver for speeding. The woman was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, child endangerment, falsification, obstruction and identity theft.

On Aug. 6, a man reported $183,500 had been stolen from his bank account.

On Aug. 9, a third party reported that on Aug. 8 around 7:45 pm, a man brandished a firearm in the parking lot at a woman following an argument at the pool. The woman confirmed the incident, and after an investigation a man was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing.

Three men were arrested and charged with burglary, assault and unlawful restraint on Aug. 14. They were taken to Strongsville Jail.
