KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue across parts of the Kansas City area overnight, but the threat of severe weather has come to an end.

Expect muggy conditions overnight with lows only dipping to a stuffy 78 degrees. Tuesday will be hazy, hot, and humid, with highs in the low 90s and a heat index soaring into the triple digits.

Hot, humid and windy weather continues for the next few days and into the holiday weekend.
