Environmentalists have an unsolvable climate problem in their campaign to rid the world of global warming. Their problem is God. As God makes clear to Job, God has total control of the sun, the wind, sea levels, and precipitation. He’s the one who “commands the morning” by causing the sun to rise (Job 38:12). He knows “where the east wind is scattered upon the earth” (Job 38:24). He’s the one who “shuts in the sea with doors” (Job 38:8), “prescribes limits for it” (Job 38:10), and says to it, “Thus far you shall you come, and no farther” (Job 38:11).

Perhaps the most sinister and dangerous lie the left has beaten into the brains of unthinking Americans is that there is strength in diversity. Nothing could be further from the truth. Diversity, as the first syllable in the word implies, divides. It does not unify. It fractures, debilitates, and diffuses. The energy that could be harnessed through unity of purpose and values is frittered away. America became the greatest nation the world has ever known – freer, stronger, more prosperous, more stable – for one reason: an unshakable commitment to common core values and standards. That’s not diversity, that’s unity.

Inorganic mulches also allow for the natural seeding proclivities of our glamorous but short-lived ruderal species, like many Penstemon, that so many gardeners struggle to keep around.
