EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - After a dry spring, daily rain chances return this week. After a much drier-than-normal spring, we’ll see daily chances for showers and thunderstorms through the week ahead. Rainfall is running more than 7 inches below normal year-to-date, but multiple rounds of storms could help chip away at the deficit.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Monday’s rain totaled 1.18″, the biggest one-day rainfall since early March. Another round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon through tonight will help chip away at drought conditions, but it comes with a Level 2 (Slight) risk for severe storms —mainly damaging wind, plus a low-end/isolated minor flooding concern in heavier downpours. Additional rounds of rain and storms are expected at times through Memorial Day weekend.
