EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Very humid air has settled over the Tri-State on Sunday, with dewpoints ranging in the upper 70s. The high humidity will set the stage for severe storms Sunday evening and hazardous heat for Monday and Tuesday. Storms will most likely develop north of the area and sweep through the Tri-State with a damaging wind threat later Sunday. A heat advisory for heat index values of 105-110 is in effect for the entire Tri-State for Monday and Tuesday.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Very humid air has settled over the Tri-State on Sunday, with dewpoints ranging in the upper 70s. The high humidity will set the stage for severe storms Sunday evening and hazardous heat for Monday and Tuesday.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Sunny and humid conditions Monday afternoon will fuel more thunderstorms through the evening and overnight hours. The Storm Prediction Center has a 2/5 severe risk for the entire Tri-State, but the best chance for storms will be over the eastern half of the region. Damaging winds will be the main threat, along with flash flooding if storms track over the same areas repeatedly. Storms should end before sunrise Tuesday.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Heat index values soared to 106-110 on Tuesday, despite a shift to northerly winds. The drier air will begin to filter in overnight Tuesday through Wednesday and bring a break in the stifling humidity and heat. Low temps will drop into the middle 60s for Wednesday morning.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -A welcomed break from the hazardous heat on Wednesday as high temps rose into the lower 80s with lower humidity levels. Skies will remain partly cloudy overnight with some Canadian wildfire smoke and a low of 64. Thursday will keep the milder trend alive with highs in the mid 80s under partly sunny skies.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Our stretch of pleasant weather will continue into the first half of Friday. Morning lows in the middle 60s will warm into the upper 80s as winds become southerly, so more humidity will stream back into the Tri-State. The increased moisture will help fuel showers and thunderstorms as a cold front swings in from the west. Scattered showers should push into southern Illinois on Friday afternoon and then across the entire region by Friday evening. No severe weather expected.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Cloudy skies arrived on schedule Friday afternoon and held temperatures in the lower 80s. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will work into the Tri-State Friday evening ahead of a cold front. The risk for severe storms is very low, and we are expecting rain and a few rumbles of thunder. Total rainfall through the weekend will be around a half inch in most locations.
