SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Sunday and Monday will be the best chances we have had for widespread rainfall in quite some time. Inches of rain may fall through Monday evening. We are watching for the potential for severe storms as well.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A cold front is arriving in Siouxland Sunday morning, but despite that, we will still see a mild day. A much stronger, secondary cold front will drop temperatures significantly by Tuesday.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Friday brought a much-needed rainfall, especially for drought-stricken Nebraska. Some areas had well over 1 inch of rain, mainly west of I-29 where it was needed most. More storms will be possible for Memorial Day weekend, but they will be more isolated in nature.

Saturday morning started with a round of thunderstorms that moved out of central Nebraska bringing frequent lightning and a good soaking rain, however brief. More storms will be possible as the weekend goes on, some of which may be severe Saturday night and Sunday night.

Saturday is going to be hot with a few isolated storms possible late in the day. Rain chances increase by Sunday afternoon cooling temperatures a bit.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Saturday started out cool and quiet with morning lows in the 40s and 50s. As temperatures warm up into the afternoon, rain and storms will move in from the west.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A few thunderstorms pushed through parts of Northwest Iowa in the wee hours of Sunday morning with frequent lightning and heavy rainfall. No severe weather was reported. Our next chance of rowdier storms arrives Tuesday night.
