Rain chances on Saturday will stay stray and spotty across the KTTC region. Most of the region should stay dry for the afternoon and evening on Saturday. Dry and sunny conditions are expected on Sunday.
The latest model guidance has shifted the primary threat of severe weather south and southwest from the previous update. That is highlighted in the latest Severe Storm Outlook. The level 2 risk is now in far southwestern Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, and Kansas.
Areas along and south of I-90 have been upgraded to a “level 2″ risk of severe weather for late Tuesday afternoon and evening. Storm coverage should stay isolated across the region, with hail being the primary threat.
High temperatures on Wednesday will be in the upper 70s and low 80s across the region. Mostly sunny skies are likely, with light winds. Dew points will stay in the upper 50s and low 60s, making for comfortable conditions.
While most storms should remain on the lighter side, we can’t rule out an isolated stronger storm as activity moves into the region Thursday evening. However, the window for any strong activity appears limited as atmospheric conditions become less favorable as storms approach our area.
