Hot and humid conditions are expected on Saturday, too. The latest model guidance has most of the region just shy of 100 degrees, so we held off on the alert day for Saturday. Heat index values will range from 100 to 105 degrees on Sunday and Monday. Hot conditions continue all of next week, too.

Highs will be in the mid-80s on Wednesday and Thursday with partly cloudy skies. Heat index values will range from the upper 80s to maybe the low 90s in a few spots. Scattered showers and thunderstorms return to the region late Thursday night through Friday evening. Heavy rain will be possible in some locations.
