When Newbern and the gang got a bunch of Tri-Five Chevrolet’s out of Texas a couple years ago, they ended up in the hands of several folks who were intent on building cool rides. Some are going to be restored, others just put together and left with great patina, but regardless they are all going to live to drive another day. What’s cool is that several of them have ended up with engines with blowers on top of them. Big Blocks, LS, and now Small Blocks, all with a roots blower on top. And what’s not to love about that?

Dylan is back at it, with another Ford project. Well Mercury to be exact, but same same. What’s weird is that Dylan really is mostly a Mopar guy but he dabbles in a little bit of everything and has a relatively large collection of Fords at this point too. It’s weird because most guys tend to be stick to one brand, or one family of brands. Like GM, Ford, or Mopar. I know plenty of folks who like them all, but it’s not as common as those of us with one passion. With that said, there are a few cool rides that Dylan has that don’t align with my norm and yet are way cool. Like this four eye Mercury Cougar right here. I love this thing. I’m a fan of four-eye fox body cars in general, but the early turbo cars are particularly cool.

The NHRA Mission Tortilla Drag Racing Series Pro Stock Cars And Bikes really provided incredible action through qualifying and eliminations all weekend long. And thanks to our pal David Whealon we got all the action shots you can handle! We’re talking side by side drag racing, big burnouts, sideways passes, and more.

Here’s our tenth, and final, gallery from Holley’s LS Fest in Bowling Green. The weather was nearly perfect this year, with unbelievable crowds and conditions for fun and racing. I loved nearly every minute of it and can’t wait for next year! If you were there, check out the photos to see what you might have missed. I was so disappointed to have to miss the 20th Anniversary of Hot Rod Magazine’s Drag Week this year. They shuffled the schedule around and it ended up right on top of Race Week which I help organize. It sucked, but it was what it was. Thankfully, two awesome groups of racers and friends had a great time at both events and that’s all that matters. So when Freiburger put out his video from the week, I was pretty excited to see what his adventures were like. I’m sure you will be too. Check it out.

To say that a rig is the ultimate anything is a big risk. And I might argue that using the descriptor, Ultimate, when talking about luxury pre-runners might be a bigger risk than most. That’s because luxury pre-runners are nuts. The good ones are insane, cost really big money, and are off-road capable and comfortable and bad ass at completely different levels that anything else you might see bombing through the desert. I’ve always wanted one, but with big 6 figure budgets the only way I’ll ever have one is if I keep taking notes and build one myself. When you see all the cool that is going on in this RJ Fab built 1949 Willys, you’ll understand what I’m talking about. Check this thing out!

We’re fans of the Torque Test Channel around here and for good reason. Nobody does a better job of testing power tools, and then sharing the information with everyone out there. Hell, if you want to see real world scientific testing, this is the place to see it. And in this latest video you are going to watch what is now the World’s Most Powerful Impact Gun. This thing will tighten and loosen just about anything you can possible have to work on, and when you consider that this beast is cordless and easy to take wherever you need it, that’s pretty impressive.

Duct Tape Drags are truly something special and are the brain child of several of our car friends who continue to visit Tucson Dragway each year for the fun and excitement that can only come from racing normal junk, doing big burnouts, and having cold snacks with your friends. We love Tucson Dragway and if you are looking for a fun place to have awesome events, this is one of them! In the video below, you are going to see Derek and his thrown together 1940 Chevy doing fun big block things with his fun big block friends, and we love him for it. I have friends who are ate up with big rigs. I mean that is their jam! But even if you aren’t one of those big rig freaks, you have to love them! Growing up and seeing these beasts going up and down the highway, looking cool, with personality, and giving honks to kids and chicks and anyone else on the road that would just give them the sign. And with 1970’s movies like Smokey and the Bandit, Convoy, and Every Which Way But Loose there were millions of people that fell in love with big rigs and the characters who drove them.
