LaChance joined the Men Wear Pink team that comes together every October to benefit the American Cancer Society and his keystone fundraising effort, a golf outing, has grown every year since it started six years ago.

When the mother of two kids with food allergies wanted to create a safe, stress-free way for them to celebrate Halloween, she quickly learned she wasn't alone. Stephanie Douglas knew about the Teal Pumpkin Project, a nationwide initiative to let young trick or treaters know which houses are food allergy-friendly, and so she started the Teal Pumpkin Party at her local YMCA in East Greenbush. It has brought together more than two hundred kids, who want to enjoy Halloween without worrying about which treats might be harmful to them. The 3rd annual Teal Pumpkin Party is Saturday, October 19 from 2-4pm at the YMCA in East Greenbush.

The 3rd annual Veterans Day Ruck March fundraiser along the Helderberg-Hudson Trail is Sunday, November 10. A ruck march is a staple of military training as a test of physical and mental toughness. This fundraiser is for everyone, though as many of the people walking the 6.8 miles will also carry ruck sacks weighing as much as 35 pounds, packed with non-perishable items. The event benefits the Food Pantries for the Capital Region, Hidden Battles Foundation and Boot Campaign.

Joe Marrello is bringing his family of restaurants back to Clifton Park. With a target opening of spring 2025, The Grille by Jacob & Anthony's is taking over the former Ninety-Nine location next to Chick-fil-A. There's a full renovation and expansion happening at that building for the new restaurant that Marrello says will have a menu similar to the Jacob & Anthony's in Saratoga Springs.

For the second straight year ahead of the holiday season, Market 32 in Malta is calling on the community to help ‘stuff the bus.' After great success last November, store manager Paul Colwell brought the effort back to benefit the food pantry at Franklin Community Center, which helps people across Saratoga County. Stuff the Bus runs now through November 22.
