The Lady Lake Police Department is proud to announce the arrest of Donald Eugene Fields II, one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. Fields II was apprehended Saturday, Jan. 26, following a routine traffic stop conducted by Lady Lake Police Sgt. Michelle Bilbrey. The arrest took place at approximately 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27/441 and Rolling Acres Road.

The Live Well Foundation of South Lake is proud to announce the awarding of a $1,000,000 Transformation Grant to the City of Clermont in support of the groundbreaking “Meet Us in the Middle” project. This grant will fund the development of a grassed tiered amphitheater area that will serve as the educational, recreational, and accessibility hub of the project.

The local animal rescue, A Forever Home Animal Rescue, is urgently calling on the community for support following life-saving surgery for Joey, a recently surrendered dog who arrived in critical condition. Due to extensive medical needs, including emergency intervention to save his bladder and kidneys, the rescue is now facing significant veterinary expenses.
