While there has been a lot of attention paid to the view of Toronto's skyline from the east of late, there are other magnificent views that we don't see so often. More out-of-the-way for many, and requiring a zoom lens, the view from Etobicoke's Colonel Sam Smith Park across Humber Bay towards Downtown provides plenty to see too.
Seen from a sailboat plying Lake Ontario's waters on a perfect day, Toronto's growing cluster East End towers are making for a steadily more impressive view. Prominent here behind the expansive greenery of The Beach are the three towers (so far) of the Rushden Station complex — green, red, and blue — while The Dawes rises east of them, following a gap that could one day be filled by a fourth Rushden tower.
Zonta Meadows park has long served residents in the low-rise neighbourhoods to the west of Mississauga City Centre, but now that a key development is wrapping up in the MCC area immediately beside Zonta Meadows, the park is being expanded next to the new development, and entirely rebuilt at the same time.

The term Towers-in-the-Park can be jokingly applied to something going up in the parklands that follow the Don River through its winding course just to the east of Toronto's central spine: here, piers are rising to support a new bridge that will carry Ontario Line 3 across the Don Valley Parkway and the river over to the Thorncliffe Park area.
If you check out Forma — the Frank Gehry-designed condo tower rising at King and Duncan streets in Downtown Toronto — from the windows of the Scotiabank Theatre, a couple blocks to the northwest, it's like the windows are there as a filter to bring back the original swoops in the exterior seen in one of Gehry's early versions of the complex.
A view across Mississauga City Centre, this one from the M City area, to the Exchange District towers — one pink-topped, one yellow-topped, one still growing — and further to the northeast to the svelte Absolute World towers, makes for possibly the most impressive suburban showcase in all of North America.
