One of the key creative figures in the Bloodline storyline has reportedly returned to "WWE SmackDown" after a brief hiatus for personal reasons, just in time to take the "Original Bloodline vs. New Bloodline" angle to fruition on Friday's double taping.

Charlotte Flair is teasing a comeback after being on the shelf for almost a year following a serious knee injury sustained on an episode of "WWE SmackDown."

CM Punk made his return on "WWE SmackDown" Friday night to join the original Bloodline's WarGames team, thanks in part to an also-returning Paul Heyman. Punk had taken some time off to sell his injuries following his victory over Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood in a Hell in a Cell match. He was revealed to be the fifth member of the babyface side after Heyman interrupted an in-ring segment between the two teams.

Private Party's Zay and Quen were successful in their first AEW Tag Team Championship defense on AEW Full Gear. The pair defeated The Outrunners, Kings of the Black Throne, and The Acclaimed to keep their gold, the titles they won from the Young Bucks, in the opening match of the pay-per-view. Two men were legal at a time in the match, though that broke down quickly, and Quen and Malakai Black started off the match.

AEW Women's Champion Mariah May is without a friend in the world after turning on her best friend and former STARDOM tag team partner Mina Shirakawa during her "championship champagne celebration" on AEW Full Gear. May had been lamenting not having a celebration since winning the championship from Toni Storm at All In. Shirakawa introduced May as "her friend, her partner, and the love of her life," bringing May out on to the stage.

Jon Moxley is still the AEW World Champion after a brutal match with Orange Cassidy in the main event of AEW Full Gear, but his next challenger is still a mystery and Christian Cage looms over his reign with his title match contract. On top of it all, Moxley and his Death Riders barely escaped a car crash at the hands of Darby Allin, who also looks to be challenging the champion.

A second women's mid-card title was announced for " WWE Raw " prior to Monday's go-home episode ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported that General Manager Adam Pearce announced a Women's Intercontinental Championship was coming to the red brand ahead of the show. Pearce announced the addition of the championship to the crowd in the ring ahead of the episode. Wrestling media personality Stephanie Hypes posted a video on X of the announcement.

Adam Copeland hasn't been seen on AEW programming since jumping off a steel cage at Double or Nothing in May and breaking his tibia in a match against Malakai Black, but there is reportedly good news for the WWE Hall of Famer.
